The Guam Association of School Counselors (GASC) is a non-profit organization founded in 2004, re-organized in 2015 and is recognized on July 12, 2018 as the 52nd State Division of the American School Counselors Association (ASCA).
The primary purpose is to share the ASCA National Model as a framework for school counseling program to help school counselors fulfill their mission and provide professional development and become aware of effective and ethical school counseling practices.
The secondary purpose of GASC is to collaborate with the national association (ASCA) for support and representation for school counselors at a national level through strong government relations and community activities.
* Guam Association of School Counselors (GASC) is a non-profit organization founded in 2004. * GASC is instrumental in the approval of the Guam Comprehensive School Counseling Program Model K-12 (based on the ASCA National Model) by Superintendent Jon J.P. Fernandez on January 2014. *GASC re-organized with new direction in November 4, 2015 *GASC values advocacy, collaboration, leadership, systemic change to build better humans.
